A Makeover for My Silver Maple
The limb walkers were great. Thin guys with climbing gear and all sorts of man-toys. They tickled the bark, bopped all around the giant tree, cut deadwood and put in a high-strength wire to prevent possible future dislimberment. Two climbed and two fetched and chipped. And, best yet, they complemented the tree. You can tell it’s feeling good about itself. Cared for and proud to be a tree, and – who knows what goes on in its soul… And the Limbwalkers say they use veggie oil in their vehicles, but only 5% veggie diesel in the chipper. Sounds like they pay too much for their oil, though. Surprising. Anyway, hope you enjoy the music too.
