5-10 rubber is great – very sticky. This shoe is also good if you have a narrow heel. I can heel-hook in these and they don’t slip. The toe box is on the pointy side. This shoe is not for you if you have a wide foot. Like most shoes when new, they might leave your feet red the first few times worn (from the dye), and can be tight at first. Mine felt fine after I broke them in (this took about 10 or so climbs, if memory serves)
