A clove hitch is a hitch, not a knot. This whole video is confusing, it helps to teach hitches and knots independantly. Also, buy a book and get expert instruction, before doing any of this on your own.
A butterfly knot is so much safer than a clove hitch.

I am curious about your bowline. You say to secure the pigtail (backup) to the other side of the loop, which is contrary to most every book I have ever read and courses I have attended. Not to say you are wrong, but I am curious what your rationale is for doing it that way? Thanks.
