its not that hard u put it into the crack and pull down and give it a test pull its not that difficult!
Bad HEX placement- With only a small tug that HEX almost fell out of the crack. If a leader fell in any direction with even a small fall it could rip that sucker right out. Best to second climb especially with a experienced leader to understand how to place gear by actually trying to remove it/ clean it. Cams are more expensive, but if placed right will have much less of a chance to slide out as in this vid…

gud vid but….modified nuts were used in the 50s and commercially produced in the early 60s in england to protect leader falls.

yes but you can learn faster with the movie if your doing it.
Good video for people who are wondering what the heck those things are.
Obviously, though, you can’t learn rock climbing from a movie.
